Korean Learning Resources – Listening Skills
When you learn Korean, you might be in research of some resources to improve your listening skills. I’ve been researching for some time about good listening resources, and more than I expected are available.
Of course, we all know about kdramas that are widely available on Netflix. It’s a great help, of course, but we don’t always have much time to dedicate to a study session, and sometimes even, we don’t really want to focus on a storyline for 40 to 60 minutes.
If you’re looking for more resources for general Korean learning, I’d recommend you to read this article about Korean learning resources.
If you’re in search of something quick, yet on the easy side, here are a few recommendations I can make :
1. GONAYUN 고나윤
Youtube channel of a girl who is making vlogs of around 15 minutes, speaking Korean. The videos have English and Korean subtitles (both can be displayed at the same time), which is really an amazing point for us Korean learners. It’s quite chill and nice to watch, she posts around 1 video per week.
2. A Day Before Us
An amazing short Korean animation series that I really enjoyed. Subtitles are available, and I really recommend you watch and enjoy this bubble of fresh air. No more words needed!
3. Learn Korean with Jadoo
Most people know about Jadoo, but I wanted to put it in this list because it’s quite an essential resource if you want to improve your Korean listening skills while having fun. “Learn Korean with Jadoo” is a Korean animation series just like “A day before us”, with longer episodes and another tone. While “A day before us” is chill and aesthetic, “Learn Korean with Jadoo” relates the story of a little girl with a big personality, and the series is mostly comical. The channel doesn’t allow integration, but click on the image to be redirected to the channel. ♡
4. 최수수 ChoiSusu
ChoiSusu is a Youtube channel that’s really focused on Korean learning though listening skills. It provides a good number of podcasts for Korean learners, from beginners to intermediate. The speech and voice of Choi Susu are clear and easy to understand, and I really recommend this channel if you want to spend some time on your Korean listening skill.
5. Namuori Korean – Korean Podcast | Learn Korean
Namuori Korean is a Youtube channel similar to ChoiSusu. It provides podcasts for beginner and intermediate Korean learners.
6. 몰입한국어 Immersion in Korean
Immersion in Korean is another Korean learning youtube channel through which you can listen to Korean stories or podcasts. They are organized by level and are also a good option to improve your listening skills and if you are in search of something new.
If you have any other resource in mind, feel free to mention them in the comments and I will populate this article as time goes by!
Happy learning ♡
